How to give a full body massage

Does your partner shy away from giving massages? Maybe it’s because they are not sure how to do them properly or sensually.

But we know how amazing a massage can make you feel. And with a little thought and preparation, some at-home coaching, and a little practice, you’ll soon become a master.

Giving a full body massage can be a wonderful way to connect with your partner and help them relax.

First up you need to create a relaxing environment. Set the mood. Dim the lights, play soft music, and make sure the room is warm and comfortable.

You will need some massage oil (best if it’s warmed), towels, and a comfy surface for your partner to lie on. Yes – a bed is fine! Just use those towels to make sure the oil doesn’t make a mess of your silk sheets.

And the first massage move is easy. All you do, is place your hands gently on your partner’s back for about 20 seconds. OK, make it 30 seconds. That helps establish a connection between you.

Then rub your hands together to warm them up before applying oil.

Now you are ready for some massage moves. Remember, slow and gentle.

Full Hand Slide: With fingers together and hands relaxed, apply soft, continuous pressure. Slide your hands up along the spine and down the sides of the waist. Sync your breath with your partner’s for a deeper connection.

Thumb Slide: Use your thumbs to slide along the body, applying gentle pressure. This technique is great for the back and lower arms.

Heel of Hand Slide: Press the heel of your hand onto the area you want to massage, using your body weight for pressure.

Fist Slide: Use your fist to massage areas like the back, thighs, and feet. This can help work into the muscle tissue effectively.

Finger Acupressure: Apply pressure to any tense spots using your fingers or thumbs. This can help relieve tension in specific areas.

Always check in with your partner about the pressure and comfort level. It’s better to start soft and gradually increase pressure as they relax.

Take your time. Move slowly and thoughtfully. As you near the end of the massage, use very soft angel strokes by lightly gliding your fingertips over their body. Gently squeeze the arms and legs to help release any remaining tension.

Allow your partner to rest for a few moments after the massage. This helps them absorb the relaxation and energy you’ve shared.

Should you finish with sex?

That depends. Your partner may not want to spoil the sense of calm and relaxation they feel. Ask them and accept their response. Of course, they may be turned on and want to finish with a bang, so to speak.

Or you may want to continue the relaxed mood by gently massaging and stroking their genitalia and other erotic zones. You will soon discover if that leads to wanting more.

But whatever you do – don’t force it – let things take a slow and natural course.
